Working at the cafe

Thought of going to San Francisco at summer… Curisous on the famous cafees where entrepreneurs, students and developpers work from - s.a. The Ritual Roasters. Interessed in the interaction between city San Francisco and its students.

The Copenhagen summer 2007 will be remembered for very good cafeweather (with lots of rain) and for the daily show of San Francisco-copper, Bob Ironside. We realized that Copenhagen has a variety of cafees from where we work, study and meet. And we decided to develop a service for caféntrepreneurs.

Working at cafees is yet another example of cityspaces changing. As Copenhagen mercantil harbour turns into “blue park” for watersports, bathing etc., the cafees - traditionally cityspace for relaxing and socializing - turn into new urban workingspaces for creative, innovative people. We started work@cafe to monitor the innovative cafees in Denmark and the people working there.
